A woman has been charged with the domestic violence murder of a four-year-old girl found dead in a suburb west of Brisbane on Monday night.Emergency services were called to a residence in Lowood just before 11:10pm.Police said the girl was found unresponsive and declared dead at the scene.A crime scene has been established and an investigation launched.Police said a 31-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene. She has been charged with murder (domestic violence against a child) and will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday afternoon.Police said the woman and child were known to each other, but did not comment further on the nature of their relationship.Neighbour Chris Forsyth said he watched as police cars and ambulances arrived. "I was sitting inside of my shed at the time, just working on my car, and me and my mate heard a scream and then further on … got a phone call that there was cops coming flying down the street," he said.Mr Forsyth told the ABC he saw a man leaving the house fall to the ground and cry. "I could tell that something had happened to the family," he said. Mr Forsyth said the family had been there less than a year. "They were very quiet, very stuck to themselves They'd speak to us occasionally, but otherwise you'd just see a happy family come out," he said.Peter Atkinson, who lives on the same street, said he was devastated by what happened. "I just feel so sorry for them," he said.
