Mother of alleged double killer Beau Lamarre-Condon charged

The mother of a former police officer accused of killing Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies has been charged after allegedly attempting to influence a key witness.Beau Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Baird and Mr Davies, who died in 2024.Homicide detectives on Wednesday charged Coleen Lamarre with intending to pervert the course of justice over allegedly trying to influence a key witness to change their evidence in the high-profile double murder trial.The 63-year-old was arrested in Balmain in Sydney's inner west about 11:15am and was taken to Day Street Police Station.She has been refused bail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.Police have alleged Mr Baird, a former television presenter, and Mr Davies, who worked for Qantas as a flight attendant, were shot dead with a police-issued handgun in Mr Baird’s Paddington home.Their bodies were found days later in surf bags at Bungonia, about 200 kilometres south of Sydney.Police have said Mr Baird previously had a brief relationship with the former officer, who was arrested in February 2024 after attending a police station in Bondi.Mr Lamarre-Condon was officially removed from the NSW Police force a month later.The matter was last year committed for trial in the NSW Supreme Court following a number of delays related in part to Mr Lamarre-Condon's change in legal representation.He was also assessed by a forensic psychiatrist, with further adjournments needed for their report to be considered.Ms Lamarre has previously been spotted in the public gallery during his court appearances.
