A western NSW man has survived three days stranded in the bush after a vehicle rollover left him injured and trapped in a rural creek. The 54-year-old was found alive at Renshaw McGirr Way by a farmer on Thursday morning who was conducting a routine inspection of his property in Curra Creek, 11 kilometres south of Wellington.Police say the crash is believed to have occurred sometime on Monday when the car flipped down the muddy embankment. The driver was able to remove himself from rapidly sinking vehicle, which became submerged, but could not climb back up to the road due to his injuries. The man, who was the sole occupant, was also unable to access his phone to call emergency services, which was left in the car.He was treated by paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries.NSW Ambulance described the incident as an "incredibly lucky escape". "The gentleman was dehydrated and hypothermic, as well as suffering chest and limb injuries," NSW Ambulance Inspector Sally Lapins said."He was fully assessed and made comfortable before being airlifted to hospital in a serious but stable condition."Police are continuing their investigation and asking anyone with relevant footage to contact Wellington Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
