Hezbollah fires at Israel, citing truce breaches as ceasefire negotiations near

Hezbollah fired rockets and drones into northern Israel, accusing Israel of violating a ceasefire ahead of US-mediated talks between the two governments. Israel said Hezbollah fired rockets at its troops in southern Lebanon, and that it struck the launcher. The incident has raised tensions ahead of US-hosted talks between the two countries' ambassadors on Thursday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz have stated that disarming Hezbollah is their goal, but Lebanon's Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has said Israel's occupation of parts of the south will be met with resistance.
