A court battle over iron ore royalties in Western Australia has continued in Perth, with lawyers for mining heiress Gina Rinehart's company Hancock Prospecting (HPPL) arguing for lower costs and liabilities. The dispute follows last week's judgment, which ordered HPPL to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in royalties to the companies of her father's business partners. The lawyers for the partners, Wright Prospecting and DFD Rhodes, are seeking clarification on the value of the royalties and interest payments, as well as damages for breach of contract and costs for the accounting process.
