The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is testing all 15,000 Glock handguns issued to officers due to concerns that some may fire multiple rounds when a single shot is fired. So far, three handguns have been identified with the issue, but there have been no operational incidents reported. The testing is being conducted to ensure officer and community safety, and firearms that do not meet standards will be removed from operational use. The QPS is working with suppliers to rectify the issue and may replace the entire fleet of Glock handguns if the problem is deemed significant.
