Annalouise Spence, a 50-year-old former private secretary to billionaire philanthropist Judith Neilson, has been denied bail on 68 fraud-related charges. She is accused of using Neilson's credit cards and bank information to spend over $1.6 million on luxury items between 2023 and 2025. Spence's defence claimed she had made repayments and would comply with bail conditions, but the judge refused bail citing concerns she would interfere with witnesses or evidence, and endorsed a warrant for her to receive mental health treatment in custody.
