TRANSCRIPTPrime Minister Anthony Albanese has welcomed the peace deal announced by the US and Iran, but says there is still some way to go before the impacts of months of fighting come to an end.The deal is expected to be officially signed on Friday in Switzerland, as details continue to emerge on what is contained within the agreement.US President Donald Trump says the arrangement includes a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran says implementation would not start until the signing.Mr Albanese says the Australian government will support efforts to secure a lasting agreement to end a war that killed thousands across the Middle East, and sparked a historic energy crisis."So whilst we want to see the conflict end - and we hope that has occurred - we also want to be very conscious of the fact that doesn't mean that everything returns to normal in just a day But we do want to give a shout out as well to the efforts to Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and other mediating countries as well."Coalition leader Angus Taylor says he wants to see fuel prices come down quickly, now that the US and Iran have announced a peace deal."Of course we've seen good signs and great hope that we will see a peace deal in the Middle East
