'Sad for us': Hannah Clarke's parents step back from advocacy

Sue and Lloyd Clarke's daughter Hannah and her three children were killed by her estranged husband Rowan Baxter in a horrific arson attack in 2018. The family's grief has driven them to advocate for domestic violence awareness and coercive control training. Their charity, Small Steps 4 Hannah, has successfully lobbied for changes in Queensland law and created a training program, Hannah's Story, which has shown a 35% increase in reports of coercive control in Tasmania. Despite the success of the program, Queensland Police have not adopted it, leaving the Clarkes disappointed. The family hopes that their advocacy will prevent similar tragedies and that Hannah's story will continue to raise awareness about domestic violence.
